Atwater Springs is a Planned Unit Development (PUD) located in Norton Shores. As part of the PUD approval process, the city authorized certain lot sizes, home types, and setbacks for the entire development.

The current PUD allows for a total of 89 housing units, with a mix of traditional waterfront ranches, two-story shotgun style homes, and several bi-level homes.

The PUD shown to the right was approved by the Norton Shores City Council in November of 2022.  The PUD can be amended from time to time with the approval of the City of Norton Shores.

Atwater Springs is considered a site condo development. Accordingly, in addition to the rules and regulations in place as part of the PUD approval process, residents are also governed by a set of condo bylaws.
